As a Chef De Partie at Sodexo in Nuffield Parkside Hospital, you’ll play a vital role in preparing high-quality meals that support patient wellbeing and enhance the overall dining experience. You’ll be responsible for managing your own section of the kitchen, ensuring every dish meets our high standards. What you’ll do

  • Maintain stock control, food rotation, and proper storage/disposal procedures.
  • Complete temperature checks, audits, and quality documentation, reporting any issues promptly.
  • Prepare and serve meals to company standards, including special diets and portion control.
  • Support food production and meal services for patients, staff, and visitors across the hospital.
  • Maintain high hygiene, health & safety, and cleanliness standards in all catering areas.
  • Assist with menus, rotas, deliveries, stocktaking, staff training, and supervision when required.
  • Support kitchen operations by covering absences, washing equipment, and helping across catering areas.
  • Communicate professionally, work efficiently with minimal waste, and carry out additional duties as needed.

What you bring

Essential

  • Previous experience in similar role
  • Excellent craft and presentation skills
  • Good communication skills and customer focus
  • Good financial awareness
  • City & Guilds 706/ 1 & 2 or equivalent
  • Level 2 Hygiene Certificate

Desirable

  • Level 3 Hygiene Certificate
  • IOSH managing safely
  • Diet cook’s certificate
