Job Overview
A welcoming primary school in Darwen is seeking a committed SEND Teaching Assistant to join their resource provision unit. This role focuses on supporting pupils with additional needs in a structured and nurturing environment.
Responsibilities
- Support pupils with SEND in accessing the curriculum
- Deliver targeted interventions and structured learning support
- Assist with behavioural and emotional regulation strategies
- Work alongside teachers and SEND specialists within the provision
- Help maintain a positive and inclusive classroom atmosphere
Requirements
- Previous experience supporting SEND pupils
- Understanding of a range of additional needs (e.g. , ASD, ADHD, SEMH)
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Passion for inclusive education
