Project Manager - Digital Assets at Risk (Fixed Term Contract)

About us

The Science Museum aims to inspire visitors with its renowned collections of iconic objects and stories of notable scientific achievement, reaching over three million visitors a year through award-winning exhibitions, galleries and exciting range of events and programming.

The Corporate Information team provide the information framework to support and facilitate all of our activity. This includes supporting colleagues in creating and storing museum records in physical and digital formats and providing access to our current and historical information to the public.

We are embarking on the Digital Assets at Risk Project, a major initiative to preserve SMG's audiovisual and complex born‑digital corporate records.

To support the delivery of this new project, we are looking for a Project Manager to join on a fixed term basis until March 2028. This will be a full time, 35 hours per week, based at the Science Museum in London with a minimum of 2 days working onsite.

About the role

As Project Manager, you will be responsible for managing scope, budgets, risks, and governance to ensure KPIs are met on schedule and within budget. You'll work closely with the Corporate Information team, our Digital Assets Manager, external consultants and stakeholders across the organisation to maintain momentum and keep communication clear throughout the project lifecycle.

You'll bring well-developed interpersonal and relationship-building abilities, communicating effectively with stakeholders across the organisation while maintaining an overarching perspective on the project and its objectives.

About you
