About the Direct

Payment Holder

We are looking for support for our 16 year old son. H has Autism and a learning

disability, he attends full time education in year 11. H is happy and fun loving, he

is verbal, fully mobile and independent with self care.

Hours and rate of

pay hours 84 hours available to use at weekends paid at £15.00 per hour.

Location Cambridge – CB1

DBS/Checks Confirmation of Enhanced DBS check

Right to Work and references will be needed.

What you would

be doing…

The role involves supervising community activities including park visits,

cycling in safe areas, trips to the gym, shopping and other outings. You

will help boost H’s confidence and support his independence ensuring

his safety while having fun.

Required skills

and experience

Experience or training with young people with Autism/learning disabilities is

essential.

Ability to negotiate and encourage safe choices.

Ability to drive with access to a car is required (mileage will be paid)

Reliable, punctual and responsible – as the role involves community supervision.

Good communication skills to interact effectively with the young person, family

and any other support staff.

Ability to follow guidance and care plans, ensuring consistency and safety.
