TeacherActive is proud to be working with a large and diverse maintained specialist provision in the north-west of Bristol. Operating across three sites, the provision supports children and young people with ASC, complex learning difficulties and severe learning difficulties, providing a highly inclusive environment where pupils are encouraged to develop academically, socially and emotionally.

The school is looking to appoint a full-time permanent SEND Teacher from September. The successful SEND Teacher will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to deliver engaging and personalised learning experiences, supporting pupils with a range of additional needs whilst promoting independence, wellbeing and achievement across the curriculum.

The successful

SEND Teacher will have

• QTS (Qualified Teacher Status)
• Experience working within a SEND or specialist educational setting
• Knowledge and understanding of ASC, complex learning difficulties and severe learning difficulties
• Strong behaviour management and classroom management skills
• Experience planning and delivering differentiated lessons to meet individual learning needs
• A patient, resilient and nurturing approach to teaching
