Digital Media Assistant

About this role

Overview

We are seeking a motivated, creative individual to lead the development of our social media as well as to support some administrative and clerical tasks within the business.

The purpose of this role is to drive the growth of the business’s social media and online presence by creating high-quality content, including video, audio, and graphic assets. The position is responsible for producing, editing, and managing social media channels, monitoring engagement, and supporting marketing strategies to increase sales. Additionally, the role provides comprehensive administrative support to the Managing Director (MD), including managing incoming calls, PA duties, coordinating schedules, maintaining databases, and supporting a variety of administrative and communications tasks across the organisation. This is a dynamic role that demands strong organisational and multitasking abilities.

Accountabilities / Areas of Responsibility

Digital Content

Create, source, and maintain a wide range of digital images and related content to support both internal and external communications, promoting the business and achieving targeted sales outcomes.

Produce high-quality content for social media and digital platforms, including video, audio, and graphical assets.

Utilise creative expertise and relevant hardware and software to produce and assemble high-quality digital content, such as short videos, edited footage, photographs, digital copy, case studies, animations, images, and logos.

Ensure consistency in concept, design, style, and quality across all digital content, maintaining alignment with branding and corporate identity.

Leverage data insights and market trends to inform the development of digital content and campaigns across social media channels.

Source materials in compliance with copyright regulations and GDPR, ensuring all necessary approvals are obtained for personal data, images, and related content.

Stay informed of the latest industry techniques and trends, pursue relevant professional development, and support and advise colleagues on digital content strategies, techniques, and opportunities.

Support the development of company websites and e-commerce platforms by creating content, updating materials, and monitoring key performance statistics.

Social Media

Manage and develop engaging content for the company’s social media channels, including photography, videography, content editing, and regular scheduling of posts.

Create, schedule, and monitor social media content across all relevant platforms, designing content solutions to address a variety of campaigns and marketing objectives as directed.

Respond to social media inquiries and provide engagement analytics and reports to the Managing Director (MD).

Admin

Coordinate and manage appointments, calendars, and booking schedules with efficiency and attention to detail.

Respond to help desk inquiries and assign them to the appropriate personnel for timely resolution.

Maintain and update databases for inquiries, sales, and prospective sales leads.

Assist in maintaining accurate financial records, including organising and compiling invoices and bills.

Communications

Efficiently answer and direct incoming calls, taking accurate messages as necessary.

Assist with follow-up on potential sales leads to maximise conversion opportunities.

Contribute to customer base development through targeted outreach via email, telephone, and other marketing channels.

Provide comprehensive administrative and PA support to the Managing Director (MD), including preparing presentations, training materials, correspondence, and other essential documents.

Podcast Development

Contribute to the development of podcasting projects by conducting research, fostering engagement, and participating in targeted networking activities.

Deliver social media and digital content creation support to effectively reach and engage target audiences for podcasting projects.

Facilitate the engagement of guests, content creators, and other key stakeholders for these podcasting initiatives.

General/ Team Duties

Respond to queries and inquiries promptly and accurately, while assisting team members in maintaining high standards of responsiveness.

Assist in maintaining a clean, organised, and professional office environment.

Support the Managing Director (MD) in delivering exceptional service to visitors and clients.

Assist in providing refreshments to clients and visitors as required.

Provide support for the general operations of the business as required.

Responsibilities

Assist in developing and implementing social media strategies across various platforms such as Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and LinkedIn.

Create engaging content including posts, images, videos, and other multimedia to enhance online visibility.

Monitor and respond to comments, messages, and interactions on social media channels in a timely and professional manner.

Support the organisation’s public relations efforts by drafting press releases, newsletters, and other communication materials.

Analyse social media metrics to evaluate campaign performance and suggest improvements.

Collaborate with team members to coordinate digital campaigns and promotional activities.

Stay up-to-date with the latest trends in digital media and social networking tools to ensure innovative approaches are utilised.
