Full-time/Part-time PermanentSkylight Psychiatry is a CQC-registered independent healthcare provider delivering specialist neurodevelopmental assessment and treatment services across England.We provide evidence-based, person-centred care for individuals with ADHD, Autism and related neurodevelopmental conditions through digitally enabled clinical pathways supported by multidisciplinary teams and robust clinical governance frameworks.Due to continued growth, we are seeking a Consultant Psychiatrist to join our clinical team and provide senior clinical leadership within our neurodevelopmental pathway.Role PurposeThe Consultant Psychiatrist is a senior clinical role responsible for delivering high-quality children's neurodevelopmental assessments and providing medical oversight within the service.Key ResponsibilitiesConducting adult ADHD and Autism diagnostic assessments in line with DSM-5 and NICE guidanceCompleting diagnostic documentation and reports within agreed service timeframesInitiating and overseeing ADHD medication management and titration where clinically indicatedProviding senior clinical oversight for complex or escalated cases within the pathwayProviding formal clinical supervision and oversight to Specialty Doctors and other non-consultant grade cliniciansParticipating in multidisciplinary team meetings and clinical discussionsContributing to clinical governance activities including audit, incident review and quality improvement initiativesSupporting the ongoing development of clinical pathways and service deliveryExpected clinical activity is a minimum of four comprehensive diagnostic assessments per week, alongside associated documentation, supervision, governance and service development activities.Person SpecificationEssentialGMC registered Consultant PsychiatristCCT in Child and Adolescent Psychiatry or Learning Disability PsychiatrySection 12 approval (or eligibility)Demonstrable experience in ADHD and/or Autism assessment and managementStrong understanding of safeguarding, risk management and clinical governanceExperience working within multidisciplinary teamsStrong communication skills and digital literacyDesirableExperience working within neurodevelopmental assessment servicesExperience contributing to service development or pathway designUnderstanding of CQC regulatory frameworksLeadership, medical management or quality improvement training
