Perfect Household Staff Ltd • Kensington, West London
About this role
Perfect Household Staff is delighted to present a fantastic opportunity for a professional, flexible, and nurturing Nanny/Housekeeper to join a warm and welcoming private family based in Kensington, London. The household comprises two adult principals, their two one-year-old children, a friendly middle sized dog and is run in a busy yet loving and respectful manner. The family are seeking a kind, adaptable, and presentable professional who can read the room, adjust to the family's changing schedule, and provide attentive childcare alongside light household support.
Located in one of London’s most prestigious and family-friendly neighbourhoods, with beautiful parks, children's activities, and excellent amenities nearby, this position offers an excellent opportunity for a career Nanny/Housekeeper seeking a long-term role within a fully supportive family environment. The family will be relocating to Bayswater in approximately six months, remaining within a highly desirable central London location.
This is a permanent, full-time, live-in role offering approximately 45–50 working hours per week across five working days, with Sundays and Mondays off. Due to the principals’ work commitments, which generally run from midday until 10 pm but may vary from week to week, the family require a Nanny/Housekeeper who can offer flexibility and adapt to changing schedules when necessary.
The accommodation is excellent, with the successful candidate initially provided with a separate self-contained flat for the first six months. Following the family’s relocation, accommodation will consist of a private ensuite bedroom within the family home. Working as a Nanny/Housekeeper in this household involves primarily caring for the children while also providing occasional assistance to the family housekeeper with laundry, ironing, and light housekeeping duties when time allows. Occasional travel with the family within Europe during the summer months may also be required.
Working as a Nanny/Housekeeper in this household requires a calm, proactive, and intuitive approach. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating a safe, stimulating, and nurturing environment for the children while supporting their development through age-appropriate activities, outings, and structured routines. The role would suit a professional who is naturally kind, confident around young children, comfortable around dogs, and able to integrate seamlessly into a busy household. A gentle childcare approach, excellent communication skills, flexibility, and the ability to anticipate the family's needs will be highly valued.
