Good honours degree or equivalent and qualified teacher status (QTS)
Ability to teach throughout the age range up to and including A level
Experience of planning, delivering and evaluating successful lessons
Personal commitment to professional development

Experience of using ICT for at least one (and preferably both) of teaching and administrative work

About the Role
We are seeking an inspirational and dynamic Director of Sport and PE to lead our successful Physical Education Department and wider sporting programme. The successful candidate will have a passion for sport and education, a proven ability to inspire young people, and the vision to further develop a culture of excellence, participation and enjoyment across all aspects of school sport.
As a key middle or senior leader within the School, the Director of Sport and PE will provide strategic direction for the delivery of an outstanding PE curriculum and an ambitious co-curricular sports programme. They will lead, motivate and develop a dedicated team of staff, oversee fixtures, tours and sporting events, and ensure that pupils of all abilities are encouraged to achieve their personal best while developing confidence, resilience and teamwork.
