Role overview
Anglian Learning is seeking a Teacher of English to join Sawston Village College from September 2026 or January 2027.
This is an exciting opportunity to join a highly successful and supportive English Faculty with a strong track record of academic achievement and a shared commitment to fostering a love of literature, language and literacy. We are looking for an enthusiastic and inspirational teacher who is passionate about delivering high-quality teaching and helping every pupil achieve their full potential.
The English Faculty is a collaborative and ambitious team with a long history of strong GCSE outcomes, consistently achieving results above national averages. Teachers work closely together to share resources, develop curriculum materials and engage in professional dialogue focused on improving teaching and learning. Whether you are an experienced teacher or an Early Career Teacher, you will be well supported to develop your practice and contribute to the continued success of the Faculty.
The successful candidate will
- Be a passionate and effective teacher of English with the ability to inspire and engage pupils across Key Stages 3 and 4.
- Be committed to achieving excellent outcomes for all pupils through high-quality teaching and strong classroom practice.
- Be a collaborative and reflective practitioner who contributes positively to the work of the English Faculty and wider school community.
