Tesco UK • Welwyn Garden City AL7 1GA

Group Strategy & Innovation Manager

About this role

Our Strategy Managers lead some of the highest priority, most complex work in Tesco. They help shape, mobilise and run natural work teams across all business functions to respond to challenges that are often new for everyone involved. This includes keeping focus on long term strategic outcomes whilst developing roadmaps for medium term deliverables.

The role is therefore ideal for somebody looking to build a broader network or gain experience working across multiple functions. It is a great opportunity for somebody to bring challenge, clarity and structure where no precedent exists, whilst leading peers and more senior colleagues to deliver critical business priorities.

  • Contribute across all Group Strategy work through active participation in the team.
  • Provide subject matter support and development.
  • Support in scoping the strategic priorities, including the ambition, priorities and business cases.
  • Build cross functional programme teams to establish and embed ways of working.
  • Support the appropriate levels of governance to provide strategic oversight and direction for the programmes.
  • Drive progress in a consistent, transparent way, and to identify issues and risks, dependencies, and opportunities.
  • Proven project management experience.
  • Experience in change management.
  • Involvement in strategy development.
  • Ability to influence senior stakeholders.
