About this role

The work of the Women’s Estate Psychology Service (

WEPS) spans core forensic work

completion of complex risk assessments along with therapeutic intervention work, consultancy, training & research, as well as a broad range of safety-related work within women’s prisons, and as women transition back into the community. As a key member of our experienced and passionate leadership team, you will provide strategic direction, drive service development, and offer expert guidance to the individual site where you will work as Establishment Lead Psychologist (ELP). Your leadership will empower your team, fostering innovation and excellence in psychological practice.

Working within WEPS and the wider Women’s Group, you will play a vital role in shaping gender-responsive, evidence-based services for women in the criminal justice system. Including contributing to the development and review of policies and strategies across HMPPS, ensuring our work reflects best practice and meets the unique needs of women. You will be a central point of contact for WEPS at HMP Bronzefield, providing support to the Senior Management Team at the prison, and will lead a small team of highly skilled and motivated staff and have the opportunity to engage in a range of activities to support the delivery of WEPS work across the site.
