An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Clinical Engineering Department at the Norfolk & Norwich University Hospital NHS Foundation Trust, (NNUHFT) for a Band 3 Administration Assistant.

The Clinical Engineering Department directly and indirectly maintains the 26,000 medical devices within the NNUHFT and Cromer Hospitals.

The Admin Team perform a vital role by providing comprehensive administrative support to the senior members of the team.

We are seeking an organised and detail-oriented Administration Assistant to join our Clinical Engineering team at NNUH. In this role, you will:

  • Provide general administrative support to the Clinical Engineering Department. For example, processing monthly servicing schedules and monthly reports of expenditure, maintaining filing and records systems, receiving telephone calls and dealing with them appropriately, handling department correspondence both internally and externally to the trust.
  • Raise purchase orders for spare parts, stationery, repairs to equipment and chase outstanding orders
  • Generate and interpret reporting which form the service key performance indicators.

  • To manage personnel records for the Dept.
  • To provide secretarial support for the Senior Staff in the Dept.
  • To raise purchase orders for spares, stationary, repairs to equipment etc. When requested chase outstanding orders.
  • Processing of delivery notes, debtor requisitions, invoices and passing these to finance for final actions & payment.
  • To enter data into the Trust’s medical equipment database and to ensure the data accurate and maintained to a high standard.
  • To attend relevant training and educational courses as deemed necessary by the Trust.
  • To participate in the staff appraisal and performance review process.
  • Any other duties which may be required from time to time by the Trust which would assist in improving the service.
