Your Role

As a Driver for OnRoute Transport Group, you will provide safe, punctual, and professional transport for passengers including children travelling to and from school and adults requiring community transport support.

Your day-to-day responsibilities will include

1. Collecting and dropping off passengers safely and on time across Essex and Thurrock

2. Building positive, professional relationships with passengers, parents, carers, and school staff

3. Completing pre-journey vehicle walkaround checks and reporting any defects promptly

4. Following all company procedures, safeguarding policies, and council licensing conditions

5. Maintaining accurate journey and booking records in line with company standards

6. Being available for scheduled morning and afternoon shifts on school days, with additional routes available

What You Need

1. A valid full UK driving licence held for a minimum of one year

2. A clean or near-clean driving record

3. Ability to pass an Enhanced DBS Check (criminal record check — we assist with this)

4. Ability to meet the council's PHV licensing medical and knowledge requirements (we put you through this)

5. The right to work in the United Kingdom

6. Good communication skills and a professional, patient attitude

7. Reliability and punctuality — our passengers depend on you
