Job Overview

An established composites manufacturing business based in Colchester is seeking an experienced Installation Supervisor to oversee on-site installation projects and coordinate installation teams across multiple locations. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring installations are completed safely, efficiently, on time, and to the highest quality standards.

The role requires strong leadership skills, excellent organisational ability, and a solid understanding of composite materials, fabrication, and installation processes.

Key Responsibilities

Supervising installation teams on-site and ensuring projects are delivered in line with company standards and client expectations

Coordinating labour, materials, equipment, and site schedules to ensure smooth project delivery

Conducting site inspections and monitoring installation quality and workmanship

Ensuring compliance with all health and safety regulations and company procedures

Liaising with project managers, clients, contractors, and internal departments throughout the installation process

Identifying and resolving on-site issues efficiently and professionally

Providing technical guidance and support to installation operatives where required

Completing installation reports, progress updates, and relevant documentation

Supporting continuous improvement initiatives across installation operations

Assisting with training and development of installation staff

Candidate Requirements

Previous experience in a supervisory role within composites, construction, manufacturing, or a related industry

Strong understanding of composite products, installation methods, and site operations

Excellent leadership and team management skills

Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications

Good problem-solving and decision-making abilities

Strong communication and organisational skills

Full UK driving licence

Flexibility to travel and work on various project sites as required

Desirable Skills and Experience

SSSTS or SMSTS qualification

CSCS card

Experience managing multiple installation projects simultaneously

Knowledge of quality assurance procedures and health & safety legislation
