Legionella Risk Assessor

At Mitie, our people are our greatest strength, and our promise is to create a place to work where you can thrive and be your best every day.We're looking for an experienced Legionella Risk Assessor who will deliver high‑quality water hygiene risk assessments across a range of sites, ensuring compliance, accurate reporting, and exceptional client service.

Role Responsibilities

-Carry out Legionella Risk Assessments manually and electronically across various sites in accordance with BS8580‑1:2019.

-Produce high‑quality reports, including schematic drawings, using a tablet (admin support provided).

-Provide clear and confident technical advice to clients and internal teams.

-Cross‑train in additional competencies such as Pseudomonas assessment, scald risk assessments, and further water hygiene‑related disciplines.

-Support operational tasks as required to meet contractual commitments.

Required Qualifications

Applicants must meet the below defined requirements for the role

-Minimum of 2 years' experience as a Legionella Risk Assessor.

-Demonstrable experience assessing domestic water systems.

-Full UK driving licence.

-Enhanced DBS (preferred; can be arranged if required).

Desirable (training can be provided)

-Experience working within hospitals or healthcare environments (HTM04‑01).

-Experience with process water systems.

-Experience with spa baths in line with HSG 282 guidance.
